Pre-Listing Tips For Sellers

Getting your home ready for listing doesn't need to cost an arm and a leg. Check out these inexpensive tips that could help bring you more money when you sell.

  • Some basic landscaping can increase the curb appeal and grab a buyer's attention as they walk up to your home. Edging the grass, planting some flowers, trimming the hedges, cleaning up leaves. This all leads to a cleaner, more desirable property.

  • A fresh coat of paint is a fast inexpensive way to transform the interior of your home.

  • Leave some easy-listening music playing during showings. This will make potential buyers feel more comfortable as they walk around the house.

  • Make sure all your lights and fixtures are working prior to listing. Buyer’s can look at something as simple as a burnt out lightbulb as a defect.

  • Allow lots of available showing times. Restrictions on showing times make it difficult to drive traffic to the listing and can frustrate potential buyers.
